Mini tennis red stage:
Recommended for children aged 4-8 years. It is played on smaller courts with shorter rackets and softer balls. It's just like the real thing and will give you the chance to have long rallies and play different types of shots, which should be lots of fun.
Court size: 11m x 5,5m
Net height: lower than 80 cm
Recommended rackets: 43-58 cm (17â-23â)
Recommended ball: red sponge ball for indoor games and red felt ball for outdoor games.
Mini tennis orange stage:
Recommended for children aged 8-9 years. It is played on slightly larger courts than red ball, with bigger rackets and balls that are not as soft as red balls. It's the next stage to go through before you start playing on a full sized court and it will help players develop all the different shots, providing fun competition.
Court size: 18m x 6,5m for singles, and 18m x 8,23m for doubles.
Net height: 80 cm in the middle of the net
Recommended rackets: 58 - 63 cm (23â-25â)
Recommended ball: orange ball, which is a low compression ball, that gives better control, and that's an important stage of progression.
Mini tennis green stage:
Recommended for children aged 10 years and above. It is played on a full tennis court, with bigger rackets and balls that are a little softer than normal balls. It's the next stage to go through before you start playing with a full compression yellow ball on a full sized court and it will help players work on and improve all aspects of their game.
Court size: same as a normal court
Net height: same as a normal net's height
Recommended rackets: 63 - 66 cm (25â-26â)
Recommended ball: green ball, which is the perfect transition between an orange ball and a normal tennis ball.
